Full Description
Old sand pit in Penenden Heath, where it is likely that underground levels were driven West from this pit since a serious subsidence occurred at Norman Close TQ 769569. (1) In 2015 a local person reported that the area was previously known as Upper and Lower Fulling Pit Woods so may have been a fullers earth extraction site.
