Monument record TQ 53 NE 64 - Sand mine, Mount Ephraim, Tunbridge Wells
Summary
A small shaft was previously found leading to a large chamber cut into sandstone. This feature is thought to be the remains of a possible sand mine supplying building stone. Also may have been used as a World War II air raid shelter.
