Full Description

Coarse Roman pottery, Samian fragments, iron tools and bones, washed out of the saltings near Hope Point, North fleet, in 1894-5, were in the collection of the late G.M. Arnold (1). These finds are probably in store in Chantry Museum Gravesend, among objects of unknown proverance. This museum holds the bulk of the Arnold Collection (a) (2). Additional references (3,4).
