Full Description
Excavation carried out during construction of Lydden Valley Pumping Station in 1994. A layer of peat was discovered with a depth of 2.60m (1.70m) below the modern ground level. This layer exposed many worked timber fragments, indicating the possibility of human settlement nearby, if not the presence of structures. The strata was identified with the EBA period. (1)
