Monument record TQ 94 SE 28 - Site of Watercress Farm, Ashford
Summary
Watercress Farm was located in the area now to the south of the industrial estate and now known as Watercress fields. The farm was marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c.1861 and is still markked on the 4th edition of c.1931-40. The associated stream feeding into the Great Stour appears to have been cultivated as watercress beds but the entire site has now been developed.
