Full Description
A number of pillboxes were constructed across the Western Heights in the 20th century to cover the approaches to the heights, these are generally inter-visible. This example is a Type B Quad and is located on the northern side of the Western Heights Complex, overlooking the North Entrance. It was constructed in birck on a concrete plinth and a overhanging reinforced concrete roof. It measures 2.58m on each internal side, the north west and south west side both have two embrasures which splay to the exterior and the door is on the south eastern side. (1-3)
