Full Description
Substantial ditch approx 5m wide in strip of relic wood at E. boundary of Milgate Park, nr Caring lane. The ditch runs for some 40m with a low bank on the W side with mature yew trees and substaintial chestnut coppice stoobs on top. Another ditch appears to run at a right angles from the N. end, poss. a natural feature, a former Stream Course ( it aligns with a pond in the park ) or the result of a golf course construction. The woodbank is prob. a former boundary of Millgate Park, poss. of Md date.(1)
