Summary
A number of lime kilns with brick chambers, draw arches and flint retaining walls are located at Stubyer's Wood on the Westwell Downs. The kilns are probably of late 19th century date and there is also an extensive area of chalk workings around them.

Full Description
A number of ruinous lime Kilns with brick chambers and draw arches and flint retaining walls, prob. of late C19 date. Extensive area of chalk workings around.(1)
The lime kilns were surveyed by Canterbury Archaeological Trust during a Heritage Survey of the Charing Beech Hangers woodland in 2004. (2)
