Full Description
WW2 Water tower, Trottiscliffe County Park. Platform for water tank constructed of steel stanchious with angle iron cross bracing and sheet steel platform on girders. Built to supply water to an officer's training camp (pumping house at bottom of hill). Stanchious set in brick base, 3x1 bays (approx. 12x6m) and approx. 10m high. Tank has been removed, but remains of steel sheet, botted in place in place can be seen. Brick lined pit for intake pipe visible in ground below tower plus stump of waste pipe.(1)
