Full Description
The site first operated as the Oak Brewery, under W. Miskin, before 1870. The Oak brewery was probably acquired by Kidd & Sons sometime before 1882 and changed the name to Steam Brewery in 1890. In 1937 the brewery was acquired by Courage & Co Ltd and the ceased the brewering. The site was demolished in 1939 and a Co-op store is now on the site of the Brewery.(1)
