Full Description
Group of 5 metal detector finds found nr Wingleton Farm in September 1994. 1. Silver Sceatta of Kentish type c680-85 (close imitation of Primary series A3, obv. die as Metcalf 96, rev. die different, but similar) found at TR 3421 4901. 2. Potin with Apollo / Charging bull design (Van Arsdel 1406) found at TR 3430 4982. 3. Potin with Apollo / Charging bull design (Van Arsdel uncertain Thurrock type) found at Tr 3440 4982. 4. Bronze horse harness fitting in form of three joining rings of IA date, found at TR 3439 4990. 5. Horse harness fitting in cast bronze, of IA date, similar in form to strap junction piece, cf Danebury(1984) Fig 7.7, No 1.35). Photographs of finds in Dover Museum.
