Full Description

Group of 8 metal dtector finds from field nr Butsole Pond in September 1994. 1. Tasciovanus Gold Stater (Van Arsdell 1680 variant) found at TR 3082 5410. 2. Bronze Stater (Van Arsdell 154-3) with fragment of horse design found at TR 3086 5408. 3. Anglo Saxon silver Sceatta c715-20 (E Kent Mint, Series K, Type 42a) found at TR 3088 5409. 4. Anglo Saxon belt mount, in copper gilded, with style I face design (now in Dover Museum) found at TR 3085 5410. 5. Saxon Strap end/belt fitting with horse head design found at TR 3080 5412. 6. Bronze Saxon Brooch/Button with ring and dot design found at TR 30808 5405. 7. C6 belt rivet of 'shoe shaped' design found at TR 3088 5408. 8. Iron spearhead, badly corroded, c9cm long, of uncertain date found at Tr 3084 5418. Photographs of finds in Dover Museum.
