Summary
A lime kiln marked on the 1908 OS map in the disused part of Boughton Quarries near a row of workers' cottages. The kiln presumably burnt ragstone from the quarry. ID from OS 3rd ed map.
Watching Brief undertaken at 2 Forge Cottages in 2002, where the limekiln is situated within the property boundaries, uncovered no other archaeological finds or features
