Monument record TR 05 NE 36 - Site of former lime kiln, Lower Ensden
Summary
A limekiln was formerly located to the north of Lower Ensden. The chalk pit and limekiln are marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c.1861. The site is denoted as 'Old limekiln' suggesting that it was no longer in use at this time. Whilst the pit is still present there are no visible remains of the limekiln.
