Full Description
A transverse arrowhead, a barbed and tanged arrowhead and some fragments of very coarse pottery (Neolithic), now in the British Museum were found by Burchell about 1937 at TQ 620 736 in Brook Vale, Northfleet. They rested on peaty silt,underlying hill wash, at 10-11 feet depth, and were noticed in the upper face of a now disused and water-filled chalk quarry (a) (1). Additional references (2,3, 4).
