Full Description
A single kiln was operating at the northen edge of Ryecroft Wood( at TQ 5846 6989 )near Grubb Street, west of Longfield in the 1860's.(1) The site appears to have been returned to agricultural use or may be in private gardens. Another pair of Kilns were situated in the wood just to the south (at TQ 5838 6974) at the same time. This area is still woodland. The possible survival of remains at either site is uncertain.(1)
