Summary
The Globe Portland Cement and Whiting works were established in 1880 next to the Phoenix Cement Works. Closed in 1901 and almost all the structures were demolished. A small element of this works may have survived in the Crown and Quarry Blue Cement Works that was eventually demolished in 1963.
