Monument record TR 23 NW 225 - Folkestone Cement Works (Site of)
Summary
A works was established by John Pope in 1870 "half a mile from the harbour". It later became the Folkestone Cement Company's works and closed in1891. The works included wet grinding mills.
Due to its short working life the location of the works has not been established but a site west of the harbour seems most likely, perhaps near Mill Rock.
