Full Description
An ancient river flowing into the mid-late Romano-British period was identified during an archaeological watching brief. Deposits which had been carried by it included Romano-British pot, building material and plough soils. Faversham Roman Villa was probably situated on the West bank of this channel rather than the East bank of Faversham Creek as previously thought. The watching brief looked at the route of a new pipeline from TR 0205 6125 to TR 024 617 (1)
