Full Description
Built in 1884 this building was used by both Convict & Military prisons. By 1925 it was in a poor state of repair and was not used as part of the barracks. By the 1950s it had been demolished, probably when the Cell Blocks were removed. The foundations of this structure survive at the western end of the second level. The floors are mostly of flag staones many of which are still in situ. (1)
