Full Description
A concrete platform set with several bolts in a ring is located on level 2 or the middle terrace. It is the site for 'gun bucking' or 'the principle for moving ordnance' event described by Col Arnold (1982). The skidding equipment for moving the gun was stored in the sheds to the east, hence their name. The guns were raised from the harbour below. (1)
