Full Description
A stainless steel mounting pin set into a concrete base lying on its side in the area of the three parallel banks - rifle butts on the slopes of Cornhill. This is the remains of a pedestal for a spigot mortar. It has probably been moved from its original position, the exact location of which is not known. There was an anti aircraft position at Cornhill as well as pill boxes further inland where it may have come from. (1-2)
