Full Description
[TQ 61 72 Sited to Spring Head only] One-piece brooch with two coil unilateral spring elongated catch plate and thickened bow. Both the profile and form of spring make it seem that this must be a descendant of the boat or leech brooches belonging to the Hallstatt period of which there are few, if any, authenticated specimens from Britain.
