Building record TQ 53 NE 65 - Kent and Sussex Hospital, Tunbridge Wells

Summary

The large Kent and Sussex general hospital in Tunbridge Wells was built in 1932-34 to replace earlier general and eye hospitals. The original construction comprised a main block, a casualty ward, as well as out-patients' and other departments, and two ward wings. A seperate nurse' home was attached to the main buildings by a bridge and stepped covered way.
