A WW2 pillbox part of a nodal point ,or 'anti-tank' island, formed during 1940-41 at the junction between the Newhaven-Hoo stop-line and the GHQ Line 'B' stop-line along the left bank of the Medway.(1)(2)

Additional Information. (3)

Hexagonal concrete pillbox, brick-shuttered. 7 embrasures. Close to the N bank of the River Medway S of Leigh, where a stream joins the river and is crossed by a footbridge. (4)
