Full Description
A WW2 pillbox part of a nodal point ,or 'anti-tank' island, formed during 1940-41 at the junction between the Newhaven-Hoo stop-line and the GHQ Line 'B' stop-line along the left bank of the Medway. (1-2)
Additional Information (3).
Hexagonal concrete pillbox, brick shuttered. 7 embrasures. Grass on roof [remains of camouflage?]. Type 24 pillbox. 'Thick walled'. Near Ford Place / New Cottage: in hedge row of large open field. (1)
