Full Description

A WW2 pillbox part of a nodal point ,or 'anti-tank' island, formed during 1940-41 at the junction between the Newhaven-Hoo stop-line and the GHQ Line 'B' stop-line along the left bank of the Medway . (1-2)

Hexagonal pillbox with 7 embrasures. Brick-shuttered. Grass on roof [remains of camouflage?]. [Recorder Urquhart gives NGR - TQ 524431]. In field off B2188 road, S of Penshurst village, close to weir on River Eden. (4)
