Monument record TR 03 NE 67 - Medieval site at Little Stock Farm

Summary

A medieval quarry, enclosure and field system were found in 1999 during excavations at Little Stock Farm prior to Channel Tunnel Rail Link construction works. The medieval stone quarry was located within a ditched enclosure possibly also used for some form of domestic and/or industrial activity. It has been suggested that these remains may be related to contemporaneous activity in the vicinity of Park Wood Cottage to the east.
