Full Description
The evaluation exposed a flint band overlying the Clay-with-flints shown as the surface geological deposit on the Geological Sheet for the area. The band was overlain by ceramic materials dating to the Iron Age and early Roman period, as well as lithic artefacts thought to be Palaeolithic, although these latter could also perhaps be Iron Age (1)
