Monument record TQ 73 NE 3 - Site of the Holy Trinity Chapel, Sissinghurst, Cranbrook

Summary

The chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in c.1400 and suppressed in 1548. It was located on the opposite side of the road to Sissinghurst Church on the corner of the road (Chapel Lane) leading to Golford. There is no trace of the remains of this chapel today, however there are conflicting sources as to the date of their demolition and removal. One source states the remains were demolished in 1840 but a source from 1911 mentions "remains".
