Scatter of late Mesolithic cores and flakes found Sept 1969 on the surface of a ploughed field centred TQ 798364. Scatter appears to occupy the whole of the field. Observed and sited by Mr F C Harmer, Orchard View, Frittenden, identified by L R A Grove, Curator, Maidstone Museum. (1) TQ 797364. A scatter of Mesolithic flints was found in August 1969 at Golford by F C Harmer. It included a base core, four scrapers and unworked flakes (2). The following year Harmer found a large Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead in the same field. (3) TQ 797364.
