Full Description
Flint tempered early - mid iron age (c.400-200BC) pottery found NE of Westhawk Farm during site visit for desktop study of proposed housing development area.(1) Later geophysical survey found evidence of Romano-British road side settlement (TR 04 SW 117) and possible features which might be prehistoric(2). Evaluation trenching did not identify and features earlier than Romano-British.(3)
