Full Description
A scatter of 80 flints was found during evaluation trenching at a site on Queensdown Road in March 1999. The flints were discovered by fieldwalking and evaluation trenching, the flints coming from the top-soil layer. The bulk of the flakes are waste, with a few showing signs of miscellaneous retouching, but no definite tools. The industry is generally poor and a late Neolithic-Bronze Age date seems likely. All of the fields in this area are littered with similar flints. (1)
