Full Description

The mound in the NE corner of this field is the site of a farmhouse shown on C17 maps and almost certainly dates from the medieval period but was lost by the mid-eighteenth century. A number of earthwork ditches sub-divide the field, some of which have been lost into an irregular grid-like pattern. The mound in the NE corner is the site of a house shown on C17 maps and almost certainly dates from the Medieval period but was lost by the mid-eighteenth century. Pottery sherds and building materials were found reflect these periods of usage. (1)
