Full Description

An intact copper alloy cone-shaped button displaying a back plate of different composition and small round loop. Found during a controlled metal detector survey at Wrotham Water Farm, Wrotham Water Lane, Wrotham, Kent (13th & 14th September 2000), the item shows a good level of preservation and is supposed to date to either the 18th or 19th century. Length: 14mm. Width: 12mm. Weight: 1.89g. (1)
