Monument record TQ 76 NW 333 - Acorn Wharf and site of Ross Shipyard, near Rochester Bridge

Summary

Wharf just downstream of Rochester Bridge. It was the site of Ross Shipyard between 1795 and at least 1814, when it built ten ships for the navy ranging from 12 to 74 guns, as well as a number of merchant ships. It's later use is unknown.
