Summary

Watching brief of posthole, cable trenching, lamp post settings and drop bollards revealed evidence of post medieval (TQ 54 NE 49) and medieval activity. The limited nature of the excavation prevented further analysis although pottery sherds dating from late 12th to 15th century and occasional sandstone fragments were recovered.
