Listed Building record TQ 54 NW 1 - Church of St Mary, Chiddingstone

Summary

Church, 13th century & later. Church, built of local sandstone rubble with tiled roofs. Early 14th century nave, chancel, aisles with chapels and 15th century west tower, the nave and chancel roof, south porch and wall of the south aisle rebuilt after a fire of 1624. There are minor alterations of 1866 and 1898. Four bay nave and two bay chancel with north and south aisles, each having an east chapel, south porch and west tower.
