Monument record TR 23 NW 236 - Evidence of 18th Century Buildings & Cobbled Road Surface, Folkestone

Summary

During a watching brief in 2000 evidence of 18th century buildings and cobbled road surface was found. The mortared ragstone walls appear to relate to buildings fronting the former Sea Gate Street. These buildings and the cobbled surface disappeared from use possibly in the 19th century.
