Monument record TQ 54 NW 2 - Chiding stone
Summary
A weathered natural outcrop of sandstone circa 4 metres in height alleged to have given its name to the parish of Chiddingstone, although the reverse is equally plausible at the very least. The name is known from the early 12th century.
