Full Description
[TQ 5004 4507] Chiding Stone [G.T.] (1) The Chiding Stone is supposed to be "a Druidical judgement stone" which gave its name to the parish, Chiddingstone, but it is only a natural feature. (2) The Chiding Stohe is a highly weathered natural outcrop of Tunbridge Wells sandstone rising to a height of about 4.0 m. Nearby is a smaller residual block of the same stone. (3)
