Building record TQ 95 NE 29 - Newnham Pumping Station
Summary
Newnham pumping station consists of several structures. There is a large red-brick pumphouse with a tiled roof, which is maintained and still in use. Across the central porch is written "The Mid Kent Water Company1937". To its rear is a 1930s water-softening plant built of reinforced concrete, which is now disused. To one side is a pair of semi-detached houses which are possibly still inhabited. There is also a single-storey filterhouse which is in poor condition.
