Summary
Watching brief on work undertaken on St. Dunstan's Bridge involving underwater excavation of river bed. At the cleared level, a large quantity of stone, brick and general debris was evident. Set within the centre of the river channel were two foundations comprising of mortared stone work.

Full Description
Watching brief on work undertaken on St. Dunstan's Bridge involving underwater excavation of river bed. At the cleared level, a large quantity of stone, brick and general debris was evident. Set within the centre of the river channel were two foundations comprising of mortared stone work, the remains of peir bases to the double arched bridge built in the mid 16th century.(1)
