Monument record TQ 94 NW 50 - Ragstone Quarry Pits, Pluckley
Summary
A watching brief on work for new extension revealed two post-medieval quarry pits adjacent to an outcrop of Kentish Ragstone. A quantity of pottery and some clay pipes suggest that the earlier quarry pit had been back filled c.1720-1775.
