Monument record TQ 85 NW 128 - Romano-British Building, Near Gore Wood, Thurnham
Summary
Approximately 900m east of Thurnham Roman villa, close to Gore Wood. The building is on top of an easterly facing slope, at the foot of the slope there are signs of a spring that has long ceased to flow. Large worked stones can be found on the surface along with roof tiling, also found were a number of pottery sherds which have been collected and cleaned, amongst the sherds were two pieces of Samian ware.
