Monument record TR 15 NE 410 - (Site of ) Early-Medieval Street and Building, Linacre Garden, Kings School, Canterbury

Summary

Rescue excavation in advance of bulding programme at school. The earliest levels of the site were only sampled due to time constraints. During the early medieval period the area initally seems to have been unused. Slightly later a street of flint cobbles was constructed running se-nw, roughly parallel with the city wall. A partial timber building and a well built stone furnace were associated.
