Monument record TR 35 SE 420 - Site of Octagonal Kitchen, Deal Marine Barracks
Summary
Extensive trenching revealed portions of several walls relating to the demolished octagonal kitchen, which originally formed a twin to the still extant structure (Building 14). No floor levels survived but investigations revealed a central circular brick platform, perhaps the base of a large oven or copper.
