Summary
A Neolithic flint axe was found in 1960 in spoil from ditch dredging on Manor Farm, Wanshurst Green. It is a large , well-made example of grey flint with a light brown patina.Its cutting edge is broken. The length is 6.5ins (16.5cm) and the width 2.7ins (7.3cm).
The axe was given to Maidstone Museum.
