Full Description

Three sections of 19th century walling and a brick drain were located during a watching brief carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust for excavations to allow the reinforcement of the retaining riverside wall. The drain and walls were aligned roughly east-west, at right angles to the course of the river. Their dating was based on their general construction. (1)
