Full Description

Late medieval walling located during a watching brief carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust for excavations to allow the reinforcement of the retaining riverside wall, constructed from mortared flint and greensand, it is likely that this is part of the same Medieval masonry uncovered during works associated with the A20 road and sewer scheme, on Mill lane and in the bed of the River Dour itself.
