AN EARLY 19C PRESS, A TYPE INVENTED BY THE AMERICAN, GEORGE CLYNER OF PHILADELPHIA IN 1813. THE PRESS OD DECORATED WITH SCEPTRE AND SNAKE EMBLEMS AND IS SURMOUNTED BY AN EAGLE WHICH ACTS AS A COUNTERWEIGHT TO WACH MOVEMENT OF THE BAR. THE KENTISH GAZETTE WAS PRINTED ONTHIS TYOE OF PRESS UNTIL THE LATE 19C.
